Sam Taylor is a Partner within the Disputes practice based in New York. He has over 15 years of experience leading complex investigations and professional services teams. Sam supports clients in complex crises and specializes in managing multi-jurisdictional investigations, proxy fights, cross-border asset recovery, commercial litigation support, and complex transactional due diligence. He works closely with legal counsel, compliance units, and deal teams advising on investigative strategy, strategic positioning in challenging jurisdictions, and responding to internal and external threat actors.
While Sam specializes in matters focused on the US and Latin America he has led engagements across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. His experience includes leading a global team of investigators ensuring bank compliance with sanctions laws, undercover investigations of illegal and counterfeit goods sales, enforcement of multiple global arbitral awards in excess of $1 billion, and internal investigations of fraud, malfeasance, and money laundering.

Sam was ranked Band 2 by Chambers and Partners in 2024 and 2025 in their Litigation Support Guide, with one client stating that “Sam Taylor is an excellent resource and my go-to person for investigations” and others describing him as “responsive and sharp” and “a great asset to any team” because “he gets results.” Sam spent eight years at a global corporate intelligence firm where he led the North American research practice. Prior to joining Mintz Group, Sam led the Corporate Intelligence practice in the Americas for a London-headquartered investigations firm.
