Morgan Taylor is a Partner in Mintz Group’s San Francisco office, where she leads the firm’s Executive Diligence practice. She works with executive search firms, corporations and boards to deliver tailored diligence on senior hires and directors, helping clients protect reputations, mitigate risk and make confident leadership decisions. Her practice centers on cross-border executive diligence, with an emphasis on identifying reputational, governance and compliance risks before they become liabilities.

Morgan has more than a decade of investigative experience guiding clients through high-stakes matters across industries and jurisdictions. She has a strategic specialization in designing scalable background check solutions for corporations, executive search firms and investment clients—including private equity and pension funds—calibrating the scope of diligence to the level of risk in each situation. She also brings sector-specific expertise, particularly in higher education, where she has advised on sensitive hiring matters and developed customized approaches to address unique institutional challenges.

Prior to joining Mintz Group in 2014, Morgan worked for a due diligence start-up, where she investigated complex dispute-related cases such as asset tracing and fraud. She also has deep research expertise in financial crimes, anti-money laundering, counterterrorism, and Middle East politics.

Morgan holds an M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
