Kelsey Froehlich is a Partner and Global Co-Head of Corporate Risk & Due Diligence in the London office of the Mintz Group. She specializes in transaction diligence; business intelligence and Integrity Diligence; complex fraud and internal investigations; and civil litigation matters and commercial disputes.
Kelsey’s recent work has included:
- Providing deal diligence and risk assessments for an investment fund acquiring education and residential businesses all over the world – helping to mitigate risk and inform deal structure to drive value;
- investigating procurement fraud and political corruption in a multinational, multi-billion dollar construction project – supporting multijurisdictional litigation;
- esponding to whistle-blower allegations of fraud at a European government security contractor;
- auditing the input supply chain of a manufacturer in East Africa and probing human rights allegations;
- Conducting dozens of investigations across a highly-complex, multi-jurisdictional Ponzi scheme, including evidencing holding structures used to hide assets and investigating actual and imputed knowledge by the scheme’s enablers and beneficiaries; and
- investigating the political exposure of potential joint venture partners for a consumer products distributor all over Africa and the Middle East.
A Certified Fraud Examiner, Kelsey conducts investigations around the world for international law firms, corporations and government and multilateral institutions. Kelsey has overseen anti-corruption investigations in nearly every country in the world.
Kelsey joined the Mintz Group in 2006 and has held senior investigative roles in New York and London.
Prior to joining the Mintz Group, Kelsey worked as a research consultant for Deloitte & Touche and the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion, where she conducted econometric and qualitative research in infrastructure procurement, employment policy and economic development.
Kelsey has an M.P.A. in Public and Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.A. cum laude in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
